First Blood!

Well on October 3rd I started off my 2010 bow season by killing two does on Sunday afternoon at about 2:30. Killing a deer at 2:30 is pretty rare in the early season were are in now, especially when its warm. I was hunting one of my standing corn fields because im lazy and havent gotten out to cut it yet, and right when i was about to fall asleep i heard the crunching of leaves about 10 yards in front of me. Well since it was cooler outside and i wanted some meat in the freezer i drew back on the first one and stuck her in the lungs, then the second one that was right behind her just stood there so i shot her in the heart. So i after i knew i made good shots i waited about 20 minutes and went and harvested both of them, and they werent laying further then 50 yards apart. So i got some meat in the freezer now hopefully i cant have a post about a nice buck someone kills next week got a couple flying in from Texas so we will see what happens.

Wow man thats cool. Two at once sounds pretty amazing. I've never actually went hunting, besides shooting shit in the woods witha BB gun. I shoot guns all the time. My uncle shoots off clay birds at his house and we go out there and shoot all day long. Ive never used a bow though, it would be pretty cool to learn. I have a couple of friends that hunt and man do they stock up on deer jerky. That stuff is good. I will eat it all day long, especialy the smoked deer sausage. I will eat that crap till my mouth gets tired of chewing. Anyways I thought your post was pretty cool so I decided to comment on it. Peace.
